ABSTRACT

In recent years, more and more coronaviruses (CoV) have crossed the species barrier and spread from animals to humans, causing many serious public health events and causing huge losses to the global economy. Vaccination is currently the most effective measure to prevent the CoV pandemic, and a safe, efficient, and fast vaccine platform is the basis for vaccine research and development. With the increasing maturity of reverse genetics technology, it is also increasingly used in the development of CoV vaccines. This article reviews several reverse genetics techniques currently used in CoV research and their possible applications in the development of CoV vaccines.
