ABSTRACT

This paper explores the question of whether there is life after death by analyzing the philosophical debate between dualism and materialism and by examining scientific research into reincarnation. The relationship between the mind and body remains contested, which complicates attempts to draw conclusions about consciousness after death. Empirical investigations, such as those by Dr Ian Stevenson, offer intriguing but controversial evidence. Ultimately, the paper concludes that the question remains open, perhaps permanently so, due to both philosophical uncertainty and epistemological limitations.
