ABSTRACT

Rural revitalization is a major and challenging topic in national economic development. With the arrival and popularization of the digital economy era, the impact of the digital economy on rural revitalization has become increasingly significant. As a marginal region in China, Xinjiang faces problems such as inconvenient transportation, lack of educational resources, and imperfect security facilities, and rural revitalization has become a nationally important challenge, therefore, this paper argues that it is of great value to study rural revitalization in Xinjiang. Given to the fact that the concept of big data in China was born in 2016, this study focuses on rural revitalization in the era of digital economy, with Xinjiang as the target. The model is constructed using data from 2016-2019 and analyzed using the coupled scheduling model, the level of digital economy and the level of rural revitalization, with special emphasis on the relationship between digital economy and rural revitalization. Some factors for the coordinated development of digital economy and rural revitalization are revealed through the coupling level and obstacle model. The results of the study show that the digital economy in Xinjiang shows a steady growth trend, and the coordinated development of rural revitalization and digital economy is generally on the rise, showing a good development prospect.
